Fit and athletic! More than 100 “frogs” from five countries took part in the 2015 Gutenberg Half Marathon in Mainz!

Our “frogs“ gathered at the starting line in the magnificent sunshine wearing their specially designed white running shirts and sportEX necklaces. Joey Kelly, who is a friend of ENERGETIX and an enthusiastic sportEX fan, also joined in the fun again this year. And ENERGETIX again fielded the largest team of runners this year!

ENERGETIX Bingen is going to donate two euros for every kilometre run to the Hugo Tempelman Foundation, which will be using the funds in its courageous battle against HIV in South Africa.

Two runners in the large ENERGETIX team decided not to stop after 21.0975 kilometres and run the entire marathon: Frank Pachura (one of the endurance runners from the German TV show: “Wer ist so hart wie Joey Kelly?”) and Tim Aepfelbach.

We congratulate all runners on their splendid performance. We’re really happy that funds totalling a magnificent 5,000 euros (rounded up) have been collected for the charity!

If you weren’t able to be there: the SWR Mediathek has a summary of the running event:
